Earlier this week, we attended the Urban Refugee Livelihoods Partnership (URLP) workshop, alongside esteemed stakeholders from UNHCR, the UN Refugee Agency, International Rescue Committee, Office of the Prime Minister, Norwegian Refugee Council, Kampala Capital City Authority, Federation of Small & Medium Enterprises-Uganda, SPOUTS International, Platform for Vendors in Uganda, and other partners and recognized NGOs.
During the meeting, we passionately pitched our groundbreaking project under Aspire Digital Hub, Ref Hub, which aims to improve access to vital information for refugee and host communities in Uganda through ICT. We are thrilled to share that we have already launched this platform, through a web-based system, which serves as a central hub for accessing information, resources, and services. 🚀
One of the key issues we addressed was the mental health challenges faced by the refugee community, and we emphasized how Ref Hub can play a pivotal role in addressing this critical problem in collaboration with other organizations.
Thank you Henry Wanume Henry for emphasizing the importance of democratizing information.
Together with these incredible partners, we are taking meaningful steps toward making a lasting impact on the lives of refugees. This journey wouldn’t be possible without the support and belief of our stakeholders and collaborators. 🤝
We are filled with hope and excitement for what lies ahead as we continue to work together to foster a more empowered and informed refugee community in Uganda. Stay tuned for more updates on our progress! 🌍💙
